In 2022, the cost of Internet services around the world decreased from 1.9% to 1.5% of the average gross national income (GNI) per capita. About this says in the annual global review of the state digital communications prepared by the International Union of Electrosyuvia (ITU).
Nevertheless, the cost of the Internet is still the main obstacle to access to the network, especially in countries with a low income level.
The report says that the most common tool for using the Internet is mobile phones. Analysts concluded that the share of those who have such a phone “indicates the availability of the Internet.”
