In the UK, about 130 thousand publishers of sites and mobile applications filed a claim for Google for a total of £ 13.6 billion (approximately $ 16.3 billion).
The essence of the claim is that, due to its monopoly behavior, the company could lose about 40% of advertising revenue.
“The lawsuit claims that the Google Technogant abused the online advertising market, earning super-offers at the expense of tens of thousands of publishers of websites and mobile applications in the UK,” the press release says.
At the same time, the plaintiffs insist, the sizes of fines for such abuses (for example, a recent resolution of the French regulatory authorities to recover $ 155 million from Google), are clearly insufficient to force the American corporation to change their advertising policy.
