A strike scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, on the first day of annual salary negotiations, will disrupt the circulation of certain regional trains and several TGVs and intercités, announced the SNCF Monday December 5.
Disturbances are to be expected for TER in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Grand-Est, Occitanie and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regions, as well as in Ile-de-France On lines C, D, E and N, according to a press release from the company. Cancellations are also expected on certain TGV and intercités lines, in particular on the Paris-Lyon axis, due to a local movement of SNCF network sharpeners, and for TGVs south of Bordeaux.
For the main lines, the travelers concerned will be informed by e-mail or SMS in the event of cancellation of their train. In this case, the SNCF promises a full refund before the scheduled departure or an unaccompanied exchange in all the trains where it remains for space. In any case, customers are invited to check the traffic of trains on Tuesday from 5 p.m.
All the staff of the SNCF group are called upon to stop work by the CGT-Cheminots, Sud-Rail and the CFDT-Cheminots, in order to weigh on the compulsory annual negotiations (NAO) which open this Wednesday.
This mobilization occurs after four days of very strong disturbances, due to a movement of controllers who forced SNCF travelers to cancel 60 % of its TGVs and intercités from Friday to Sunday, and another 25 % Monday.
Other strike notice for controllers and sharpeners have been launched for weekends of end-of-year leave.
