Four people are in absolute emergency, and ten other people are slightly injured, including two firefighters. The origin of the fire which is extinguished, is unknown.
A deadly fire broke out, Friday, December 16, early in the night, in a residential building in Vaulx-en-Velin (Rhône), near Lyon. The provisional assessment reports ten dead, including five children, said a press release from the prefecture.
In addition, four people are in absolute emergency. Ten others are considered light wounded, including two firefighters, added the press release.
“An alert for an important fire in a seven -story residential building (…) was given at 3:12 a.m. this Friday, December 16,” said the prefecture. The origin of the fire, which was mastered after the intervention of 170 firefighters and sixty-five vehicles, is currently unknown.
