The end of year celebrations are an opportunity to end up with several and without having, however, the desire to do the dishes. At Ogata, in Paris, there is a chic dinner cocktail service, made of papier mache with sugar cane fiber. This set, called Wasara, was especially designed by the master of the place and Japanese designer Shinichiro Ogata for lunch on the go: the mini-assiets are wavy to marry one hand (on the other, you can hold your glass …) , and eat standing. They have a cavity to soak its sushi in the soy sauce, or any other put with its cocktail sauce. The cups are so pretty and practical, accompanied by bowls, wine or sake glasses, that the Japanese claw aficionados, eager not to part with it, asked for a perennial version. Thus was born the Niro Wasara collection, in lacquered papier. Much more expensive but durable (the bowl is at 53 euros) than the first version with the pretty milky colors.

colored candlest printed in 3D. Valentin Lebigot

He looks like a XXL sewing, or Lilliputian top hat. Lum is a 3D printed candlest, offered in a multitude of tangy colors, mint coral, from blue to lilac. The Parisian designer Valentin Lebigot makes it locally (as well as other small objects, such as mirrors, vases or pencil pots) from plastics based on corn starch, industrially recyclable. Disadvantage: do not let the candle consume to the bottom, at the risk of melting the candle holder. Advantage: this object, like all the creations of this designer who favors small series and short circuit, is unique in its forms and nuances. And given its small price, you can multiply it for a colorful table.

Behind its small mushroom shape, this lamp hides multiple talents: like offering nine ambient colors, and different light intensities, gently pressing (and more or less long) on his hat. It is used at home, especially as a night light in a children’s bedroom or for a candle effect on the living room table. Nomadic (with an autonomy of 24 hours), it also settles outside, because it is resistant to rain. This model designed for Lexon by Italian designers Manuela Simoneli and Andrea Quaglio, installed in Paris, won the International Design Prize, Red Dot Design Award in 2021.
