After scandals with leaks of customers of Tville and confidential information from the Moscow Electronic School, Minzifra proposed introducing a revolutionary fine of 3%. This was announced by the head of the department Maksut Shadaev, writes Kommersant.
According to the minister, the initiative is being discussed with representatives of the IT industry. At the same time, mitigating circumstances are provided: for companies that invest in data protection and certification of infrastructure, the amount of the fine will be reduced. If the organization compensates for the damage to 2/3 of the injured customers in pre -trial, this will also be a mitigating circumstance.
Recall, according to the amendments to the Law “On Personal Data”, in the event of a data leak, the operator is obliged to notify Roskomnadzor within 24 hours, and within 72 hours to provide the department with the results of an internal investigation indicating the reason and guilty persons. Currently, the maximum fine for business leakage is 500 thousand rubles.
