“Public Consumer Initiative” (OPI) invited the government to remove legal responsibility for the lack of warranty service of foreign IT solutions from Russian integrators and suppliers of foreign decisions, Kommersant writes.
The basis for this OPI proposes to make a “unilateral unmotivated refusal” of an electronics and software manufacturer from the performance of warranty and technical support obligations.
As the publication writes, the organization sent a letter with this proposal to the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin.
The refusal of foreign vendors from technical support and warranty in the Russian Federation led to the fact that the customer companies address claims to Russian sellers and integrators, specified in OPI. This situation leads to an increase in the likelihood of a series of bankruptcy of domestic suppliers of foreign decisions, according to the organization.
According to the head of the OPI Oleg Pavlov, it is necessary to bring to legal responsibility the structures of foreign representatives of IT companies preserved in the Russian Federation
The group’s initiative was sent to work on the Ministry of Construction, but according to the publication against the decision, it has objection of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
