Only two out of three trains will run on Christmas weekends due to a controller strike, the management of the SNCF announced on Tuesday, December 20 at a press conference.
Two in three TGVs are expected to circulate on Friday on the Atlantic and Mediterranean axes, and one in two train on the north axis. Three out of four Ouigo should circulate. Intercities should have normal traffic conditions. Details for Saturday and Sunday has not yet been communicated.
For Christmas and New Year weekends, the CGT-Cheminots and Sud-Rail do not call the controllers’ strike, but the two unions have decided to let their notice run in order to leave everyone Possibility to join or not to the movement born outside of any union framework. The social movement should further expand at the start of the school year, all the unions of the RATP having called on Wednesday to “continue and tackle the strike movement in January 2023”, around the salary question but also pensions.
