The company has about 2500 employees and several sub -brands – Hyperion, H4 Hotels, H2 Hotels, H+ Hotels, H.Sostels and H.mes.

According to message h-hotels and the original investigation of IT specialists , hackers were professionals who were able to break through a powerful IB-system of the company on December 11, 2022. After detecting the cyber attack of the hotel, the hotel was disconnected from the network to prevent the distribution of extortion software. Due to the actions of cybercriminals, the hotel personnel cannot accept and respond to customer requests sent by e-mail.

H-HOTELS has already contacted the law enforcement agencies of Germany and the IBF, which will help restore the company’s systems as soon as possible and strengthen protection from such cyber attacks in the future.

As Play say, they managed to steal a huge number of personal data of customers, including passports, identity certificates and much more. But the attackers did not provide any documents confirming their words.

Moreover, H-Hotels denies the leakage of data in the statement made last week. The company promised to notify customers if it is found that the hackers still managed to abduct any information.
