Corsair keyboard has learned to type text without user

Corsair confirmed that its K100 keyboard independently dials a previously written text. According to the company, the cause of such strange behavior is not harmful software (users thought first of all about this), but an error in the firmware, because of which the keyboard is gaining previously entered text after a few days.

For the first time about such behavior, users spoke on the Corsair forums in August 2022. Everyone was afraid that there is a kelogger or other malicious software behind arbitrary input. But the keyboard behaved strangely even in safe mode, from which users concluded that the cause of the problem is in the equipment itself.

Later Corsair issued a statement in which she stated that keyboards sometimes introduce the text on their own due to error in the macro recording function – K100 begins to accidentally record the macro, which later works when you press certain keys.

It is still unknown that the error arises, but the representative of Corsair said that the company is actively working on its correction.
