On December 20, Russian Yuri Martyshev was released from prison in the United States, where he was serving a term on charges of cybercrime. Now Martyshev is located in the deportation center in the city of Lamkin (Georgia), his lawyer Alexei Tarasov said.
In the summer of 2017, Martyshev was extracted by the Latvian authorities in the USA in several crimes. He was accused of four points, in particular secret conspiracy, conspiracy to commit electronic fraud, electronic fraud and incitement to crime, as well as harm to computer systems.
The Russian found himself guilty of two of the four crimes sane. He announced involvement in conspiracy and complicity in fraud. He was threatened up to 10 years in prison.
At the same time, the prosecutor’s office removed the charges from Martyshev in two episodes of cyber abuse, each of which threatened him for up to 30 years.
Earlier, Tarasov stated that the deportation process should begin within 48 hours, protection and diplomats at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Washington are trying to achieve his return to the holidays.
“We are in contact with deportation officers, the embassy will prepare a certificate of return for him,” said Alexey Tarasov.
