Social Blade is an American service that tracks statistics and analytics of social networks. The company disclosed the incident after the database containing information about the service users was put up for sale at the hacker forum this week.
According to the Social Blade statement, the data leak became known on December 14, when an unknown hacker found a gap in defense of the service and copied the user database, after which he put it up for sale. The database contains 5.6 million records dated September of this year. The attacker counts on 1-2 sales, after which he promised to remove the topic.

The Hacker’s hands were email addresses, passwords, ID users, IP addresses, authentication tox to connect, as well as some internal data from the Social Blade.
The company noted that the attacker could not steal the data of personal cards, and all passwords are chased using a reliable Bcrypt algorithm. However, users are still recommended to change the password and remain vigilant so as not to become victims of a phishing attack.
