Half-painted assessment for Sport Pass, two years after its launch

As evidenced by sports clubs and associations in Occitanie, assistance in the subscription of a license, implemented in 2021, struggles to reach its target of 5.6 million young people. The Ministry of Sports conducts reflection tracks to extend the device.

The prohibition of contacts between players, the closure of collective changing rooms and the abolition of snacks in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus had been right, at the end of 2020 and at the beginning of 2021, of the motivation of around fifty Licensees from Toulouse Montaudran Football Club, named after a district of the capital of Haute-Garonne. But, in favor of the establishment, from mid-2010, of the Sport Pass, Olivier Reuland, its president, observed a return from the licensees to the lawn of the Gonin stadium.

The leader says he draws “a very positive assessment of this aid” of 50 euros, instituted under the leadership of the Head of State, Emmanuel Macron, and which young children and young adults can benefit, under conditions, (between 6 and 30 years old). It is in this case seventy children and adolescents of Toulouse Montaudran Football Club who benefit from this boost for the 2022-2023 season in this club counting 250 licensees, including 160 young people from 5 to 16 years old.

“This brings me new young people, which allows me to significantly renew my workforce,” adds Olivier Reuland about an allowance which the government wants to make, on the occasion of the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024, one of the levers to push in sports.

Building licensees and encouraging discouraged athletes to resume the path of the gymnasium are the two main reasons that led Caroline Demessénce du Tarbes Pyrénées Handball, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, to “water all parents for e-mails for Present the device “. “I even made advertising on Wednesdays at the time of registrations. Because a third of the licensees were entitled to it,” adds the club secretary, who sees another benefit in Sport Pass: “He is a certain school year in our boxes. And it is not negligible in this period, with the costs of the gasoline.

However, his efforts are timidly rewarded. In 2021, nine young athletes had been able to deduct from the prices of the annual license, set at 75 euros, the sum of 50 euros. In 2022, they were twice as many times. But out of the 122 club licensees, this remains weak. However, the volunteer dynamics are not discouraged: “I wet the jersey because my carrot is that the kid comes to training.”

The assessment is also mixed for the Toulouse Stade association Rugby, 659 players in fourteen teams that train on the two synthetic terrains of the Ernest-Wallon stadium: between 80 and 90 young athletes benefit from the Sport Pass.
