Nicknamed “the king of toxic masculinity”, Andrew Tate, quadruple world kick-boxing champion, was arrested on Thursday December 29 in Bucharest, Romania. It is targeted by an open investigation for “rape”, “human trafficking” and “constitution of an organized criminal group”.
Before being accused of having sexually exploited young women, alongside his brother Tristan, two years younger, Andrew Tate made himself known on the Internet for his outrageously misogynous remarks. He notably said that in a couple
heterosexual, the woman “belonged” to the man, but also that the most intelligent people on earth could not be women.
More recently, he participated in a lively exchange of tweets with environmental activist Greta Thunberg. She offered to exchange privately, and send him an email to a very special email address: [email protected].
