January 10, China will enter into force new rules for suppliers of dipfake services that will tightly control such technologies and services.
Rules adopted by the State Chancellery on the Affairs of Internet Information of the PRC (CAC) at the end of Sunday should protect people from creating diphs with their participation without permission.
CAC said that such a step is necessary to reduce the risks that may arise due to the activities of suppliers of services of this kind. In addition, the administration considers this set of rules useful for the development of the industry of artificial intelligence.
State Office for Internet Information of the PRC – the central body of Internet regulation, censorship, supervisory and controlling body of the People’s Republic of China. CAC includes the State Information Bureau of the Internet (SIIO) and the service of the Central Commission for Cyberspace.
