The developers of the Nitrux presented new issues of the components used to build an interface in the user environment of MAUI De (Maui Shell). Maui De forms a set of Maui Apps applications, the Maui Shell shell and the Mauikit framework for building user interfaces that offers ready -made interface elements.
The development of Kirigami Freimvorki is also used, which is developed by the KDE community and is a superstructure over the elements Qt Quick Controls 2 .
MAUI components are automatically adapted to the size of the screen and affordable methods for entering information, which allows them to be used not only on desktop systems, but also on smartphones and tablets. The environment develops the concept of “convertence”, which implies the possibility of working with the same applications both on the sensory screens of a smartphone and a tablet, and on large screens of laptops and PCs. Maui de can be launched both with its composite ZPACE server using Wayland, and through the launch of CASK shell inside the X-server session. Maui’s applications and libraries are available for download in APK, Appimage and TAR formats. To test the current state of development of the environment of Maui De based on manjaro linux, periodically are formed loading assemblies.
The main changes:
- Added support for the internationalization and translation of the interface into several languages.
- Mauikit proposes new components: Calendar to display the calendar and navigation on it; Documents for viewing files in PDF and EPUBS formats.
- Added an archive manager of Arca, providing an interface for opening archives, pre -examining files and adding new files to the archive.
- The MAUI Apps application interface is modernized, for which the possibility of combining the tabs panel with the toolbar panel is implemented. Recycled menu. Added transparency effects.
- The Fiery browser, the integrated development environment of Strike, the Booth camera and the Agenda calendar.
