China: fire in factory left 38 dead

An explosion also occurred, Monday, in a chemical factory in northern China without a assessment being yet communicated.

A fire on Monday, November 21, in a plant in the center of China caused the death of 38 people, reported on Tuesday, the official agency Xinhua, citing local authorities. Two people were injured and transported to hospital, but their lives are not in danger, according to CCTV.

According to the state media, the emergency services were immediately dispatched after being alerted from a fire at 4:22 p.m. local (9:22 am in Paris) on the Kaixinda Trading company website, In the city of Anyang, in the central province of Henan, 500 km south of Beijing.

Images diffused by the same sources show thick clouds of black smoke from the fire, with at least two fire trucks on site to fight the flames. On another video, we see the carbonized carcass of the building after the extinction of the fire which takes place around 11 p.m. locals.
