Hackers demanded 10 million dollars from the French Department of Sen and Marna, whose administrative resources were previously subjected to cyberataka in November. This was announced on Thursday by the television channel Bfm Ile-de-France .
Digital services of the Department do not work since Sunday November 6th. The attack itself was discovered on the morning of November 7. The head of the Department of Jean-France Pariji said that he “has no reason” to give hackers money.
The investigation of the incident is carried out by the Department for Combating the Cybercrime Paris Prosecutor’s Office. At this stage, “we do not know about any leakage of personal data,” Jean-Franeso Parigi emphasized, adding that the audit is still ongoing.
