Argentina: two Russians were detained at request of United States

According to the agency, the detained Russians Anton Napolsky and Valery Ermakova led the Z-Library electronic library, with the help of which it is supposedly possible to download books protected by copyright.

In the Brooklyn Court, he charged with criminal violation of copyright, fraud using electronic communications (Wire-Fraud) and laundering money to maintain the site.

In the indictment, it is indicated that since 2009, more than 11 million e -books have been placed in the library. Also, law enforcement officers turned off and seized 249 library domains.

Russian citizens were arrested on November 3 in the Argentine city of Cordoba. The Russians came to Argentina from St. Petersburg.
