At least two people died on Wednesday, November 16, following the caption of a follower boat at the arrival of the Route du Rhum, announced the prosecutor of the Republic of Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) .
According to Guadeloupe the 1st , 11 people were on board the boat to accompany the winner of the event, the Frenchman Charles Caudrelier, for the last thousand sailor (1.8 km). “All could have been drafted by the emergency services. Judicial information was opened for manslaughter, said the prosecution.
