According to the case materials, the accused created the harmful program WASP 1.0., Designed for unlawful access to computer information, its destruction, blocking, modifying or copying and neutralizing computer information protection. Then the man began to sell the program at one of the forums, where he was noticed by the operatives.
As it turned out, the program consists of three freely distributed elements: SQLMap, Apache HTTP server and Arachni scanner. According to relatives, Sosin was sentenced to a fine and real conclusion precisely for the use of SQLMap, since the utility is considered malicious in the territory of the Russian Federation, which was confirmed by representatives of the FSB of Russia.
As noted, the convict himself does not deny that he created the program for the purpose of its further sale. At the same time, the creation of the program did not carry malicious intent, certifies sausages. The program was created for a fully automatic test of resources for penetration.
The court did not agree with the arguments of the accused. The man was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 273 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the creation and distribution of harmful computer program made of selfish interest) and was sentenced to 2 years in prison with serving in a colony with a fine of 100 thousand rubles.
