On November 8, 2022, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow partially satisfied the claims of Yandex food users. Of the 20 claims, 13 applicants received compensation in the amount of 5,000 rubles each. Another 7 claims in which the applicants asked for 100 thousand rubles, the court rejected.
Lawyer of the public project “Roskomsvoboda” Evgeny Kravchenko said that the project and Yandex himself are incomprehensible. On what basis were there satisfaction and refusals, as well as why the amount of compensation is 5000 rubles.
Organizations of Roskomsvoboda and Network Freedom in April 2022 filed a collective lawsuit of 20 Yandex food users. They asked for compensation for 100 thousand rubles for each applicant due to leakage of customer data. According to Roskomsvoboda, the Moscow district court refused to allow more than 700 claims to be the case, filed in June .
March 1, as a result of the unscrupulous actions of one of the Yandex food employees, customer telephones and information about their orders were published on the Internet: composition, delivery time, etc., and on March 22, an interactive card with these data published on the Internet. Later, this site with customer data was blocked.
