A man is dead and four people, three children, are missing in French Polynesia after being swept away by a river in Tahiti, in the archipelago of the company, following heavy rains, announced Monday 7 November the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, and the emergency services. Two vehicles crossed a mountain river, the first with three men and the second carrying two women, including one enclosure, and three children. The first vehicle managed to pass, but the second found himself blocked in the river. The man was found dead, and the woman who was not pregnant was helicopter. The research was suspended for the night. A Dauphin helicopter and fifteen gendarmes will be deployed on Monday, as well as a boat at the mouth of the river and the sea and members of the Polynesian Civil Protection Federation.
