TF1 and Canal+ sign a “new distribution agreement”

In commercial conflict since September, TF1 and Canal+ announced Friday evening November 4th having signed a “new distribution agreement”, while the subsidiary of Vivendi had ceased to broadcast the channels of the TF1 group on all its channels , for lack of financial agreement.

“The TF1 group and the Canal+ group are pleased to have reached an agreement that renews in the long term, from Monday, November 7, 2022, the distribution of all the TNT channels of the TF1 group as well as their catch -up services “Said the two groups in a joint press release.

The cessation of the dissemination of its channels by Canal+ was detrimental to the hearings of the TF1 group. In October, all of its five channels (TF1, TMC, TFX, TF1 Films series, LCI) saw its audience share falling to 25.6 %, against 27.7 % a year earlier, according to Médiamétrie.
