The meager Ukrainian naval forces caused a sensation, Saturday 29 October, by hitting their Russian opponent in the port of Sébastopol, in an unprecedented operation but with the contours still poorly known.
Before sunrise, around 4:20 am, between six and eight drones of suicide naval surfaces attacked ships of the Black Sea fleet based in Sébastopol, in Crimea. This saturation attack on the Russian defenses was coordinated with a handful of air drones. Several videos filmed from drones, published by the Ukrainian side, as well as videos of explosions filmed by Russian surveillance cameras give a fragmented vision of what happened on Saturday morning. The attack, which took place 300 km from the coast under Ukrainian control, took place simultaneously inside and off the port of Sébastopol, where Russian ships patrolled.
The penetration of the port, a natural bay 7 km long divided into secondary bays, by one or two surface drones at least, constitutes in either a feat.
