The fight against the climate crisis is one of the rare examples, according to Rich Felgate, a young British director. For several months, he has been following the group of Just Stop Oil activists in their punching actions, which has become viral, to combat the use of fossil fuels. Among them, the tomato soup jet on sunflowers, Van Gogh, London, but also blocking roads, or paint jet on car concessions.
After having released, in June 2022, finite: The Climate of Change, for which he followed opponents of coal-fired power plants for fifteen months and in Germany, he decided to get closer to Just Stop Oil In 2022. He recalls the importance of seeing “human” behind these actions and militant organizations, sometimes divisive, and “demonized” in public debate.
