The strike was renewed, Saturday 22 October 22 in the morning, until Monday, at the Totalenergies Fuels of Feyzin (Rhône), announced the General Confederation of Labor (CGT). According to Pedro Alfonso, its union representative, between 120 and 130 employees are on strike, which represents 90 % of the service of shipments and the VEMU service (energy, movement and utility), within which is concentrated the movement.

Six staff members, strikers or temporary workers, were also requisitioned by order of the prefect on Saturday, he said. “The determination of the strikers is intact,” said the union official, denouncing requisitions carried out “without compliance with the labor code”. Employees will be invited to decide on the continuation of the movement on Monday. 2> 13 % of stations in lack of diesel or gasoline

The service stations are facing major supply difficulties due to this strike movement launched on September 27 in Totalnergies refineries and deposits, even if an improvement has been noted in recent days. According to the government, 13 % of the stations were lacking in diesel or gas on Friday evening, against 16.9 % the day before.

Employees claim to increase their salary in order to deal with inflation and taking into account the considerable profits garnered by the petroleum group.

The government has requisitioned employees on several sites and the work has resumed in several refineries and deposits of Totalnergies fuel, after a negotiated agreement on the night of October 13 to 14 between management and two unions – French Democratic Confederation of the Work (CFDT) and the French Confederation of Supervision – General Confederation of Managers (CFE -CGC). The CGT has not signed this agreement and two sites continue their strike in Normandy and Feyzin.

In Gonfreville-l’Orcher, in Normandy, “the strike is renewed until October 27”, the day when Totalenergies must announce its results in the third quarter, “unless management contacts us before”, announced Friday Ludovic Desplanches, elected cgt.

Friday, the CGT responded to advertisements for improving the situation made by the government by calling for two new national days of interprofessional strike on October 27 and November 10, by the voice of the Confederal Secretary of the Syndicate, Céline Verzeletti . A way not to release social pressure for the increase in wages to be general.
