Shavei Shomron is an Israeli colony of just over 1,000 inhabitants founded in the late 1970s and located near Naplouse, a big city in the north of the West Bank, theater of clashes and Israeli operations these last months.
In the wake of deadly anti-Israeli attacks in March and April, the army has multiplied operations and arrests in the West Bank, a Palestinian territory occupied by the Hebrew State since 1967, especially in the Jénine sectors and from Nablus. The Israeli Prime Minister Yaïr Lapid said that Israel would continue to seek those responsible for this attack. “We will not stop until we have caught the murderers,” said Mr. Lapid, according to a press release from his office.
