The distribution is developing with an eye on the Arch Linux, but supports its own independent repository, which has more than 1,500 packages, and also offers a number of its own graphic utilities. As a file system, XFS is used by default. Assemblies are published for systems x86_64 (2.9 GB).
In the new issue:
- Desktop components are updated to KDE Plasma 5.25.90, KDE Frameworks 5.78, KDE Gear 22.08 and QT 5.15.6 with the KDE project (the supply also includes QT 6.4). Improved support for Wayland.
- Updated versions of packages, including Linux 5.19.13, Gawk 5.2.0, Bash 5.2, Systemd 251.5, DBUS 1.14.4, Git 2.38.0, Mesa 22.1.7, Texlive 2022, Openssh 9.1, Libssh 0.10 .4, zfs 2.1.6.
- OBS-Studio and Avidemux are transferred to the assembly from QT6.
- To create images, Initramfs is involved in Dracut instead of Mkinitcpio.
- Updated the Calamares installer. A virtual keyboard has been added to control the installation of the system on devices without a keyboard. The possibility of choosing a sound server Pulseaudio or Pipewire (by default) is given. The slide show shown during the installation is completely redone.
A option was provided for use in the sections of the installed FS system ZFS.
