Vivaldi 6.0, the proprietary browser developed by former Opera Presto developers, has released on the basis of the Chromium engine. The browser builds for Linux, Windows, Android, and MacOS and the changes introduced to the Chromium code that spreads under an open license. The browser interface, written in JavaScript using the React library, Node.js, Browserify, and various ready-made NPM modules, is available under the proprietary license.
Vivaldi browser aims to create a custom and functional browser that retains the privacy of user data, and it includes features such as lock and advertising lock, notice managers, history and bookmarks, private viewing mode, synchronization, protected end-to-end encryption, layout grouping mode, side panel, configurator with many settings, mode of horizontal display of tabs, as well as in test mode built-in postal client, RSS-reader, and calendar.
In the new issue, Vivaldi has introduced new features such as the ability to create your own sets of pictograms for the buttons of the browser interface that expand the possibilities of personalization of the browser. The developers announced a competition for the best set of icons for Vivaldi.
