Surveillance cameras are being utilized in Moscow to track down the real place of residence of conscripts who have not handed over their summons due to not living at the registered address, according to the Military Commissar of Moscow, Maxim Loktev. The new system is being implemented after Mayor Sergei Sobyanin gave directions to use video surveillance to locate citizens. Organizations where conscripts work are also providing information to the military commissariats, while educational institutions are helping determine where the draftee studies. Loktev disclosed that more than 5,000 people will be called up for military service with the exclusion of LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions.
