Community Laion, which is a Large-scale Artificial Intelligence Open Network, has presented its first release of Project open-assistant, which is a chatbot powered by artificial intelligence. It has the ability to understand and answer questions in natural language, as well as interact with third-party systems and extract information dynamically. The project’s code is written in Python and is available under the Apache 2.0 license.
The open-assistant project’s accomplishments can be used to create intellectual assistants and dialogue systems that are not tied to external APIs and services. This chatbot can work on ordinary consumer equipment, such as a smartphone. It not only allows creating your own chatbots but also provides ready-made models using which you can train the chatbot.
The project also provides an online service to evaluate the quality of the chatbot’s work. It uses OA_SFT_LAMA_30B_6, which covers 30 billion parameters. Additionally, the project offers the possibility of using a dynamically updated knowledge base that can extract the required information through search engines or external services.
The chatbot has the ability to adapt to a particular user based on their previous phrases. It is expected that Open-SSSISTANT will encourage the development of open-source projects that form content and process requests in natural languages, similar to how Stable Diffusion stimulated the development of image generating methods.
