Debian 11, one of the most popular Linux operating systems on the market, has released its seventh corrective update aimed at improving stability and eliminating vulnerabilities. The 11.7 update includes a total of 92 stability updates and 102 vulnerability updates. It also features fresh stable versions of programs such as Clamav, Flatpak, Mariadb-10.5, and more, while removing packages like Bind-Dyndb-LDAP, which no longer works with new Bind9 releases.
Users can download and install the Debian 11.7 update through the standard update installation system, while a new installation assembly will be available in the near future. Additionally, Debian 12 (“Bookworm”) is set to release on June 10, 2023, with a complete freezing scheduled for May 24. As of now, there are 258 critical errors that block the release, a significant decrease from previous months.
