Debian 11.7 and 12 installer candidate released

Debian 11, one of the most popular Linux operating systems on the market, has released its seventh corrective update aimed at improving stability and eliminating vulnerabilities. The 11.7 update includes a total of 92 stability updates and 102 vulnerability updates. It also features fresh stable versions of programs such as Clamav, Flatpak, Mariadb-10.5, and more, while removing packages like Bind-Dyndb-LDAP, which no longer works with new Bind9 releases.

Users can download and install the Debian 11.7 update through the standard update installation system, while a new installation assembly will be available in the near future. Additionally, Debian 12 (“Bookworm”) is set to release on June 10, 2023, with a complete freezing scheduled for May 24. As of now, there are 258 critical errors that block the release, a significant decrease from previous months.
