Experimental Release of Wine 8.7 with Implementation of Open Winapi
Wine 8.7, an experimental release of open implementation Winapi, has been made available for download. The release notes for Wine 8.7 reveal that 17 errors were fixed and 228 changes were made since the previous version, Wine 8.6.
The most significant changes in Wine 8.7 include the implementation of API analysis (VKD3D_SHADER_PARSE_DXBC) and serialization (VKD3D_SHADER_SERIALIZE_DXBC) DXBC binary data in the VKD3D component. This will allow for the calls of D3D10_EFFECT_PARSE (), PARSE_FX10_PRESHADER (), d3DCOMPILER_GET_PART (), d3DCOMPILER_STRIP_SHADER (), d3DCOMPILER_GET_BLOB_PART (), d3DCOMPILENT (). Extract_from_dxbc ().
Additionally, the release includes continued support for Spool files in the Postscript driver. Spool files store data on the task displayed for printing.
Several errors related to game work were fixed with this update. These errors include those found in Unravel, Street Fighter 4 Benchmark, Revolt 1207, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Goty, Dark Souls III, Genshin Impact Launcher, and Final Fantasy Xl Onlim. The update also fixed errors related to applications such as Shapes on a Plane, Davar Bible, Airscout 1.2.0.5, and Cronmu.
