Firefox 112.0.2 update eliminates memory leakage

Mozilla has announced a new release of its Firefox browser. The version 112.0.2 addresses three issues that have been causing problems for users.

The first of these issues was a problem with animated images in touched windows or windows blocked by other windows. This issue was causing a large operational memory leak, with an intensity of up to 13 MB per second when using animated topics on sites like YouTube. This error has now been fixed, according to Mozilla’s bug tracker.

Another issue that has been resolved in this release is a problem that caused some text to become invisible on certain sites, especially on Linux systems with installed raster fonts. This issue was caused by a loss of text that appeared in part or in whole, and manifested itself when using raster versions of the Helvetica font. Users can now access this text after this issue was eliminated.

Finally, Mozilla has also addressed a problem with a display surrounded by Windows 8 Web notifications on sites containing images. The bug was causing certain images to disappear or not appear properly, but has now been fixed, according to Mozilla’s bug tracker.

Firefox version 112.0.2 is now available for download and is expected to improve the browsing experience for users who have been affected by these issues.
