Russian Federation to Complete Experiment with State Unified Cloud Platform a Year Early
The Ministry of Construction in the Russian Federation has announced plans to complete their experiment with the state unified cloud platform of Gosoblako in the second half of 2023 – a year ahead of schedule. According to the ministry’s press service, the experiment has already seen more than 90 information systems from various departments posted on the platform. The plan is to ensure the full functioning of Gosoblak in 2023, with regulatory framework introduced by way of a draft resolution.
The proposed document will outline the goals, objectives, and definition of Gosoblak. The Ministry of Construction has funded the transition to Gosoblako and approximately 30 departments are involved in this experiment.
The transfer of information systems to Gosoblako began in 2019 and was initially expected to wrap up by the end of 2022. However, in mid-2022, Minzifra proposed the extension of the experiment until the end of 2024, along with an expanded list of experimental participants that includes federal executive bodies, the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, state extra-budgetary funds, and the Unified Customer in the Construction Field.
This early completion date marks another milestone for Russia’s information system transition to a unified cloud platform. With over 90 information systems of various departments transferred, Gosoblak is well on its way to becoming a fully operational system with integrated regulatory practices.
