Belgian-based European personnel management company, SD Worx, has informed its customers that cyber attackers targeted the company’s UK and Ireland divisions. As a result, the IT systems of these units were temporarily disconnected.
The company’s security group detected malicious activity at the data centre and took swift action to prevent any further impact on systems and servers. However, SD Worx acknowledges that access to these systems is temporarily impossible and deeply regrets the inconvenience caused.
SD Worx, which typically serves over five million employees in more than 80,000 companies, constantly implements strict organisational and technical security measures to protect customer data and privacy. The company emphasises that it’s working with the highest priority to resolve the issue.
Although the client portals of other European countries are functioning correctly, the client portal of SD Worx in the UK is currently unavailable. Screenshot from the official SD Worx website shows the message notifying customers of a cyber attack.
