Available for download now, the latest version of the package manager dnf 4.15, which is utilized in Fedora Linux and Rhel distributions by default. DNF is a spinoff from Yum 3.4, customized to function with Python 3 and employing the hawkey library as a support system for resolving dependencies. In comparison to Yum, DNF boasts a higher speed, consumes less memory, and offers better dependency resolution.
The new version of dnf offers several improved features, including:
– Adding the “Reboot” parameter to dnf-automatic, allowing for automatic upgrades, even when called from Cron, and this parameter can be set to Never, When-Changed, or When-Needed.
– Support for rollback cancelation for group updates.
– Displaying the CLI-interface option when downloading external configuration files, enabling the transmission of SSLVERIFY, Username, Password, and other parameters when connecting to personal repositories.
