Tux Paint 0.9.29 Graphic Editor for Kids Released

Tux Paint 0.9.29, a graphic editor designed for children aged 3 to 12 years, has been released by Tux Pain. Binaries for Linux (RPM, Flatpak), Windows, Haiku, Android, and MacOS have been created.

The latest version comes with several new tools, effects, and filters that add to the 60 existing magical tools. The new tools include FUR for creating fur, Double Vision for simulating a bifurcation in the eyes, Remove Color and Keep Color to bleach parts of the image, MAZE for generating random labyrinths, and Googly Eyes to attach eyes to painted characters.

Additional new tools include Circles and Rays for creating circular and radiation strokes, 3D Glasses for converting into a three-dimensional image that can be viewed using anaglyphic glasses, color sep for separating selected colors, and saturate and desaturate to increase and decrease color saturation. Kaleido-4, Kaleido-6, and Kaleido-8 have been added for converting images into a kaleidoscope with a turn of fragments by 90°, 60°, or 45°. Bloom with the implementation of the diffraction effect of the glow is another new tool.

The tool printing (Stamp), used to add ready-made images to the drawing, also features support for turning the object before placement.
