The first test release of the programming language, pxp, has been published. This version expands PHP support for new syntactic structures and capabilities of the Runtime Biblioki. PXP only complements PHP, making it compatible with existing PHP code.
One of PXP’s standout features is the expansion of the PHP type system, which allows for better data presentation and static analysis. The language also offers an expanded class library to simplify writing safe code.
The initial version of PXP is an experimental prototype, and not yet suitable for widespread use. It is implemented using the Parser, php-parser, and written in PHP. The first version includes support for multi-line closures.
In the future, PXP is expected to include several features such as reduced and block options for the expression “Match,” the conditional operator “Return,” the introduction of type aliases, generics, variant types, unchanged variables, comparisons with the sample, and overloading operators.
