Thunderbird 115 Launches with Revamped User Interface

A year after the publication of the past significant issue Published, the release of the postal client thunderbird 115, developed by the forces of the community and based on Mozilla technology. The new issue is classified as versions with a long term of support, the updates for which are produced within a year. Thunderbird 115 is based on the code base of the ESR release Firefox 115.

The new unified side panel, in which instead of the old toolbar of tools proposed a universal dynamic formed block that allows access to the most commonly used operations and offers its set of options depending on the active mode (mail, address book, calendar, tasks, chat, settings). When working with mail, the panel heading is combined buttons to receive messages, create a message and call the menu to configure the contents of the panel. The possibility of setting up the panel and layout of the elements in the window is given, depending on its own preferences.

A separate section with tags is added to the panel, which can be hidden if desired. Using tags, you can flexibly distribute messages on the arbitrarily assigned categories and tie color marks to them, as well as use tags when searching and filtering messages. Added sorted mail folders that allow you to easily move the necessary folders in the list, hide local folders and tags.
