Proxmox Releases Proxmox Mail Gateway 8.0
Proxmox, known for the development of the Proxmox Virtual Environment distribution for the deployment of virtual server infrastructures, has announced the release of Proxmox Mail Gateway 8.0. This ready-made solution allows for the quick creation of a system to monitor mail traffic and protect internal mail servers.
The installation ISO image is available for free download. The components specific to the distribution are open source under the AGPLV3 license. Updates can be installed from either a paid Enterprise repository or two free repositories that differ in the level of stabilization of updates. The system is based on the Debian package base and can be installed on existing servers running Debian.
Proxmox Mail Gateway acts as a proxy server and gateway between external networks and internal mail servers, such as MS Exchange, Lotus Domino, or Postfix. It allows for the management of all incoming and outgoing streams of mail. Correspondence logs can be analyzed through the web interface, which provides graphs for evaluating general dynamics, as well as various reports and forms for obtaining information about specific letters and delivery status. Cluster configurations are supported for high availability and load balancing.
