According to recent data, out of the 13,306 games available in the Steam directory, approximately 75% or around 10,000 games have been checked and recognized as compatible for the Steam Deck console, which operates on the Arch Linux platform. However, around 25% of games cannot currently be launched on the Steam Deck. It is interesting to note that at the beginning of the year, there were only 7,000 games suitable for the Steam Deck, and within six months, an additional 3,000 games were confirmed to be compatible.
According to Valve’s June report on Steam Game Delivery Users, the Linux platform accounts for 1.44% of active users. Among Linux users on Steam, 39.33% use the Steamos Holo distribution, which is used by the Steam Deck console. Additionally, Arch Linux holds a share of 8.33%, followed by Ubuntu 04/22/2 with 7.87%, Flatpak Runtime with 6.02%, Linux Mint 21.1 with 4.55%, and Manjaro Linux with 4.37%.
