DeltaTouch 1.0.0 Released for Ubuntu Touch

The first version of the Deltatouch messenger for the platform ubuntu Touch has been released. Deltatouch applies the technology delta chat to use email as vehicles instead of its own servers. The messenger is a specialized mail client working as a messenger and the initial texts are written in C++ and are distributed under the GPLV3 license. The developers of Deltatouch aimed to recreate the functionality of the official Delta Chat client for Android. While not all planned features have been implemented, the basic functionality is already available. Users can set up an account with a QR code, import/export backups, work with multiple accounts, create groups, consolidate and archive chats, send voice messages, and more. However, features like HTML messages, WebxDC, encryption of the database, and connection status indicators are not yet implemented.
