Antix 23 lightweight distribution released

Release of Lightweight Live-Display Antix 23

A release of a lightweight live-display Antix 23 has recently taken place. Developed on the package base of Debian, it is specifically designed for installation on outdated equipment. The release is based on the DEBIAN 12 package base, but opts out of using the Systemd system manager in favor of EuDEV instead of UDEV. Users have the option to choose between initialization using Runit or Sysvinit. The default user environment features the IceWM window manager, but Fluxbox, JWM, and Herbstluftwm are also included in the supply. The ISO-images are available in four sizes: 1.8 GB (complete, includes LibreOffice and four window managers – Icewm, Fluxbox, JWM, and Herbstluftwm), 1 GB (base), 527 MB (without graphics), and 252 MB (network installation). These assemblies are prepared for architectures x86_64 and i386.
