RosElektronika holding, a subsidiary of the Rostec Group of Companies, showcased the working versions of its secure communication apps called “Impulse” and “Hummingbirds” at the Army-2023 forum. The applications are tailored for the Android and Aurora operating systems and aim to enable safe information exchange while reducing the risk of personal and official data leakage.
The “Impulse” and “Hummingbirds” apps offer various secure communication tools, including speech, text, file and voice data transfer. Additionally, they provide a feature for group conversations. The “Hummingbird” app specifically caters to the Aurora 4.0 system, while the “Impulse” app is designed for Android devices. Both programs were developed by experts from the Penza Scientific Research Electrotechnical Institute (PNIE) under RosElektronika.
These messengers are integrated into a comprehensive solution that comprises server applications and devices to establish protected VPN channels utilizing domestic encryption algorithms.
“Hummingbirds” and “Impulse” can operate in two modes: with the involvement of the Portal-10 cryptographic protection hardware or independently. Corporate users can utilize these messengers to establish secure remote connections with various web services hosted on the server platform, such as email, cloud storage, and video conferences.
