Developers of the programming language mojo have announced the availability of the Mojo SDK tool, which now allows for local system compilation of projects. Previously, testing could only be done on the online interface. To facilitate this, the Mojo SDK assembly for the Linux platform has been prepared and can be downloaded after registering on the project website. Further plans include opening up the source compiler and other projects once the internal architecture design is completed.
The Mojo SDK includes all the necessary components for developing applications in Mojo. This includes a compiler, Runtime, an interactive repl-shell for assembly and program launching, an addition to the Visual Studio Code (VS CODE) code with enhanced features such as syntax code highlighting and module integration with Jupyter for assembly and launching of Mojo Notebook. Additionally, a debugger that supports step-by-step debugging and program execution inspection will be introduced in the near future.
The Mojo project is being led by Chris Latner, who has vast experience in the field of programming languages. You can learn more about Chris Latner on Wikipedia.
