Google Introduces Privacy Sandbox for Web
Google has announced the widespread implementation of “Privacy Sandbox” in its Chrome browser, a phased technological advancement aimed at enhancing user privacy.
The implementation of Privacy Sandbox comes four months after the company finalized its plans for this new technology, which was first proposed in the summer of 2019.
Anthony Chavez, Vice President of Privacy Sandbox at Google, emphasized the importance of simultaneously improving privacy while maintaining access to information, whether it be news, guidelines, or entertainment videos.
Privacy Sandbox is a collection of Google technologies designed to address concerns of third-party cookies that enable websites to remember user preferences for a personalized browsing experience. However, these cookies can also be exploited to track user behavior, raising privacy and security concerns.
