Open platform Webos Open Source Edition 2.23 has been presented, which can be used on various portable devices, boards, and automobile information and entertainment systems. The Raspberry Pi 4 is considered a reference hardware platform. The platform is developed in the public repository under the Apache 2.0 license, and the community follows a joint model for development management.
The main changes in the new issue are as follows:
- Added a framework for post-cutting sound, which implements the functionality of the equalizer.
- Improved system for identifying malicious sites using the web risk API. A local database is now used to store the list of malicious sites, which has significantly reduced memory consumption.
- Added support for AVIF image format in the Web-engine. The configuration of the Access Control Groups (ACG) access control model has been updated to limit the privileges of services.
- Updated Sandstone interface components to version 2.7.3, and the ENACT application assembly utility to version 6.0.1. The QT library has been updated to version 6.5.2.
- The UnifiedSinkbin component, which provides video rendering on different SOC, has been rewritten in Rust.
- Added support for Raspberry Pi 3 in the module for working with G-Camera-Pipeline cameras.
- The SDK Telegraf now offers the ability to monitor CPU resource consumption, track a list of processes, and monitor process memory.
