Google: Browser History Key to Advertising Future

Google Introduces “Enhanced Ad Privacy” Function in Browser

In July this year, Google introduced a new function in the browser – “Enhanced Ad Privacy.” The tool allows sites to target advertising based on the interests of the user. Interests and preferences, in turn, are determined through the history of the search.

The “Enhanced Ad Privacy” feature is based on the Topics API, which is part of the Privacy Sandbox project aimed at improving privacy on the network. To track a person’s activity without relying on third-party cookies, the new API enables sites to directly request the necessary information from the browser.

The algorithm of “Enhanced Ad Privacy” functions by selecting topics based on a user’s browsing behavior. For example, if a person frequently visits financial sites, one of the topics selected by Chrome could be “investment.” Upon a request to the Topics API, the site can display advertisements related to investment funds and pension savings.

Benefits of Edge Computing in Data Processing

Edge Computing offers several advantages in data processing. Firstly, it reduces delays, increases throughput, and improves data confidentiality and security. This is because the data is processed closer to the source and typically does not require transmission over the network. Additionally, it can ensure higher reliability as operations can continue even in the event of network issues.
